Lions Back Home To Face Wolves

London Lions v Worcester Wolves

Details: Friday 09 February, 7:30pm, Copper Box Arena, BBL Championship

Last meeting: Wolves 72-88 Phoenix (Championship, September 2017)

Summary: A lot has changed since the two teams met in September last year. Players have come and gone on both sides with Robert Gilchrist and Michael Ojo the latest Wolves acquisitions whilst Lions have lost Flannigan, Isenbarger, Hall and Lanegger with only Cory Dixon in, but what an acquisition, Player of the month this past January and the only player with a triple double in the League this season.

Cheshire Phoenix; The Worcester Wolves had to face disappointment a couple of weeks ago losing out to the Cheshire Phoenix in the BBL Cup Final, however the organisation is making huge strides on and off the court with the Worcester Arena one of the best in the country and the backing of the University, key in building long term solid foundations for the club.

Head Coach; Coach Paul James has seen it all and done it all as a player and a coach. With a large influx of new players he has continued to instill his brand of basketball on the club and their resurgent after a slow start is testimony to that.

Last Time Out; The last time the two teams met was in the Championship back in September at Worcester, a close game was blown open in the fourth as the Lions took a 16 point victory.

One To Watch; New arrival Michael Ojo has been racking up the points for his team and whilst holding a UK passport as well has just been declared in the Nigerian Basketball team for the African Championships. A prolific three point shooter who will be a factor in this game.

Did You Know; Worcester Wolves lead the League in assists with 23 per game and point guard Elvisi Dusha leads all players in the League in that category with 7.6 per game.

Season record: Lions 1-0 Phoenix (1-0 all comps)
